About:

I started playing my first instruments when I was about 10 years old.

I first started playing cornet in a school band, but that was not actually something for me, so the cornet was quite fast changed to drums.

I played drums for about 10 years, before I had to quit the schoolband due to an upper age-limit of 19 years.

When I was 12 years old, I got an electric guitar for Christmas from my Grandparents. Me and a friend of mine, who also played drums in the school band, than quickly decided to start a band together. Since we both played guitar and drums, we changed instruments, depending on the songs, and we even changed who did the vocals on the different songs.

After some years as a "duo rock/metal band", we finally succeeded to get a bass player and the band Emorier was a reality, and

I became the guitarist and vocalist.

We were all inspired of old-school death metal bands such as Obituary, Napalm Death, Benediction, Bolt Thrower etc, so the music can best be described as old-school "death metal".

In the early 90's, we did a live recording in the studio consisting of 8 home made songs.

Unfortunately, the drummer moved to USA and the band came to an end.

After a few years with different bands and settings, I joined a band called MindCrime in 1998. This band was originally formed back in 1987, but after some years of retirement, it was decided to start up again. I was taking care of the vocals, but also some guitars. MindCrime recorded a demo back in 2003, with 7 songs. MindCrime is still active, and has been playing a lot of concerts and festivals for the last 2 decades.

Approximately at the same time as I joined MindCrime, I joined the band that later on became Pictures of Pain, but then with other band members, except of the drummer Frode.

I also worked as drum teacher for some years at the beginning of 2000s.
